Eugene Laverty supports Down Syndrome Ireland in Valencia.
On Friday night 6.Nov at the Valencia MotoGP Pole Position Travel are running a special charity fundraiser for Down Syndrome Ireland. Amongst other personalities will be Ireland's hottest racer EUGENE LAVERTY - who could be the World Supersport Champion by this night!
Eugene is flying out to Valencia specifically to support this event and meet his fans. Eugene has supported DSI in the past and is an ambassador for the Rev-up4DSI annual around Ireland motorcycle challenge in aid of DSI. He will be bringing some cool merchandise with him, which will be auctioned in benefit of DSI along with some other VERY cool unique items including:
* A very limited edition book of photos of Martin Finnegan (All shots by Derek Clegg)This is just 1 of 8 such books, the other 7 being in the hands of the Finnegan family, so this very rare indeed!
* A Rev-up 4 DSI (Down Syndrome Ireland) polo shirt signed by the entire MotoGP paddock
* A pair of paddock passes as a team guest for a day
* A weekend for 2 at Silverstone MotoGP
* A very rare limited edition Laguna Seca 2009 poster (the banned Rossi v Stoner poster!) signed by Valentino Rossi

But just in case you forgot, there is also the final race of the 2009 MotoGP World Championship on Sunday. There is a good possibility that the champion will be decided there. Would you like to see Rossi crowned in person?

Kells MCRC remembers Padraig Campbell - 21st Oct.

On Wednesday 21st October at 7pm in Ballinlough Church, Crossakiel, Kells, Co. Meath there will be a service to celebrate the life of Padraig Campbell which is being organised by Kells MCRC.
Sadly Padraig lost his life at the Kells Road Races on Sat 18th July and this night is to celebrate his life with his family, Kells MCRC members, fellow competitors and road race fans.
Also on the night we will remember Gerry O Kane, Mark Young and Andrew Neill and all our friends in road racing.
All are welcome and refreshments will be served after the service.

Now that summer has gone and our rainy season is over its time to get biking again...
If this weather keeps up might even get to crank up the barbie this weekend...

Wanted Urgently: Two-bike trailer

Wanted urgently: Two bike trailer to carry two small trail bikes.
To borrow, rent or buy. Does anyone know a company renting motorcyle trailers in Munster
The trailer my friend and I arranged is too small and we need an alternative urgently.
For this coming weekend - Thurs Oct 15th to Tues Oct 20th.
I'm in Cork.
Full deposit available. Replacement offered in the event of damage or theft.

Annual Across Irleland The Presentation Day

Invitation
The Presentation Day for all the participants, with whom took part and raised funds for the 10th Anniversary, Annual Across Ireland Motorcycle Run 09 are as follows.
Meeting Point: Xtreme 45, Motorcycle Shop, Turvey Ave Business Pk, (Old Swords-Drogheda Rd) Just off the Main N1, Swords/Donabate Exit (Follow A.A.I Signs).
Date: Sunday, 11th October 09.
Time: 10.00am, with Pull out at 11.30am (Sharp)
Venue: A Suprise Not Too Short, Not Too Long!!
We shall meet up at Xtreme 45 Motorcycle shop for light refreshments (+ 30% Discount on all biking items, to those taking part, on day only), then after a cuppa, some photos, a chat, and some filming for DVD, we shall set off in a group (Together) en route to the chosen Hotel for the presentation (which should take place at approx 1pm) where light refreshments will be served also.
We shall be filming parts of the day to add to the final take, on the 10th Anniversary event, for the DVD which we will be putting together, after the presentation day. (Will let you all know, sale locations).
Note: Can those of you who may have outstanding Sponsor cards, at this late stage please, please dig them out and bring them back, (either way) with Funds Raised or Blank (Address on back) to us ASAP,or on the day, so we can finalise our grand total, finalise our logistics, and most importantly cross check all the cards sent out on our system (as they all numbered & have to be accounted for).
Thank You Letters & Certificate: We shall also have a Thank You letter & Certificate there on the day for those who Participated in the event and raised much needed funds.
Looking forward to seeing you all once again on the day to bring this years event and fundraising to a close. Pictures, Info, Feedback etc... will be on website over weekend. P.s Weather Good
